Bat El Swissa
My name is Bat El Swissa and I am currently completing the third and last year of my undergraduate degree doing a double major in International Relations and Asian studies. The Asian Sphere: Trans–Cultural Flows Graduate Program greatly interests me as it allows me to integrate the two fields I have been studying. In the framework of the Asian studies department, I have studied the Chinese language and the history and culture of China, putting an emphasis on the transformations China has been undergoing in the recent years. As part of my studies in the International Relations department I have studied various international relations theories and their implementation on differing cases. It is my belief that an examination of China in the Asian space through the perception of the international relations field is fascinating and relevant.
