Dr. Nissim Otmazgin is the chair of the Department of East Asian Studies, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Research Fellow at the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace. His research interests include Japanese modern history and politics, Japan-Southeast Asian relations, and Japanese contemporary culture. He has held visiting fellowship positions at Osaka University, Dōshisha University, Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (Tokyo), National University of Singapore, and Cornell University.
