Yitzchak Jaffe is a Lecturer of archaeology at the University of Haifa. He is an anthropological archaeologist who studies the development of complex societies in Ancient China. His research investigates interaction dynamics between social groups and the ways in which culture contact creates and shapes social identities. He has participated in a number of international field projects in China and is starting a new survey and excavation project in Shandong

province this year.
